Windows 7 Comments

I have had Windows 7 Running on two computers in my shop for over a year now. Both have 2GHz AMD dual core processors and 800MHz memory. Both now have 2GB RAM. One is running the 32 bit W7, the other, 64 bit. Both are able to run most of what I've loaded -- old DOS games and Corel Draw 8 being the major exceptions (Corel Draw 10 works). Both installed all my hardware without needing the motherboard disk. And both were able to print to my HP Laserjet 4000n. So far the worst recurring problem I've had is that Internet Explorer 8 doesn't like Yahoo Mail or Hotmail. Google Chrome and Firefox work better. The 32 bit version works better with more RAM, but still not as good as the 64 bit. And both take some upkeep to keep up the speed.

If you haven't made up your mind on Windows 7 yet, you're still welcome to come try it out. With its excellent rollback feature, you're welcome to try anything legal and moral. Your cost is as low as $3.00/hour for extended use for the privelege.
